Maui County Strong Fund (Preparedness, Response & Resilience)
The Maui County Strong Fund supports proactive preparedness, coordinated response, and long-term resilience efforts across Maui County. Contributions to this fund help strengthen local systems, support community organizations, and ensure Maui is better equipped to respond to future emergencies.
The Maui Strong Fund, by contrast, is dedicated specifically to wildfire recovery, providing direct support to individuals and families impacted by the 2023 Maui wildfires.
How Funds Are Deployed
The Hawai‘i Community Foundation (HCF) works in close collaboration with state and county leaders, nonprofit organizations, and community members to identify and address evolving needs.
HCF follows a four-phase approach to disaster response, from immediate relief to long-term recovery and resilience.
Fees & Transparency
To support the administration and long-term sustainability of the Maui County Strong Fund, a modest administrative fee is applied to donations.
HCF does not charge an administrative fee on donations to the Maui Strong Fund. In addition, any investment earnings generated from Maui Strong Fund assets are fully reinvested to support its purpose.
