In 2016, the Hawaii Community Foundation asked Kealoha, poet laureate for the State of Hawaii, to write a piece about how giving has shaped Hawaii. He performed Our Legacy at HCF’s Centennial events across the state and inspired attendees so much, that they lent their voices to his poem as well. These videos were the result...

HCF Centennial Event--Kelvin Taketa Presentation
"We stand on the shoulders of our ancestors..." This moving presentation was given at the Hawaii Community Foundation's Centennial Celebration on Oahu in March, 2016. The statewide celebration began with an event on Oahu, followed by a series of events on Kauai, Maui and Hawaii Island.
