Logo Usage

The following are usage guidelines for the Hawai‘i Community Foundation (HCF) logo regarding resolution, size, proportion, color and contrast to ensure consistency and maintenance of the Foundation’s identity.

Format / Resolution

To ensure proper resolution, use only the EPS formatted logos (downloadable below) for print publication, and the JPEG formatted logos (downloadable below) for websites. Logos are not to be "sized up" for online or email use as that degrades the image resolution. Do not present the logo out of proportion by changing the aspect ratio or resizing improperly. Do not use the logo on an angle.

Color & Contrast

The 5 color logo is the standard version; however when 1 color printing is preferred, the symbol and logotype may be printed in PMS 308 (dark blue).

The color logo consists of the following colors: PMS 348 (green), PMS 138 (orange), PMS 1795 (red), PMS 229 (burgundy), PMS 308 (dark blue), and Pantone Cool Gray 11. The 5 colors of the symbol may be printed in process color. Where Cool Gray 11 is not available, use 50% screen tint of black for logotype.

The 1 color version may be used on white or neutral, light-colored paper. Do not use the color version of the logo on patterned paper (except with the permission of HCF Communications staff).

Spacing

Minimum blank space surrounding the logo should be no less than 1/2" on all four sides of the logo.

Integrity

The logo has 2 components: the symbol and the logotype and they should not be separated. No additional embellishments or boxes should ever be used with the logo. Do not use any portion of the HCF website banner or graphics instead of a logo, including PowerPoint presentations.
