Letter From a Recipient
I have been fortunate enough to receive multiple scholarships from the Hawai‘i Community Foundation spread out through the past 5 years of my education, and I feel truly grateful for this wonderful blessing. I would like to thank the scholarship committee for being so dedicated to helping Hawai‘i residents attend college, allowing them to obtain continuing education that will benefit the islands. I would also like to thank the generous donors for believing in the residents of Hawai‘i and upholding the importance of education through the establishment of their scholarships.

I came from a humble background and know that my accomplishments thus far are not attributed to myself alone. While I have experienced the support of my wonderful family, friends and other institutions, I will never forget the aloha shown to me by the Hawai‘i Community Foundation. Words cannot fully express the wonderful emotions that run through my mind when I think of all the great opportunities your scholarships have given me. I truly believe that this Foundation offers so much to the people of Hawai‘i, and I hope to give back as much as I can to the islands.
