Help with Giving
Determining and planning your charitable giving plan is one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling processes for an individual or a family to share together. Our goal is to help you find the best options that meet your individual needs and charitable giving goals, whether establishing your fund at Hawai‘i Community Foundation or elsewhere.
When thinking about your charitable goals, here are some steps to consider:
- Discuss your overall philanthropic goals with your family members and legal or tax advisors.
- Decide how much you want to give.
- Determine what causes or organizations will be able to use your gift to meet the goals you support.
- Ask questions and explore the different avenues of giving that are available to you and review the documents needed to implement your plan.
- Share these documents with your family and your professional advisors.
If you have any questions or would like to speak with someone about your giving options, email us or call our Philanthropic Services staff at 808-537-6333 ext 560 or toll-free from neighbor islands at 888-731-3863. Our offices are open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Hawai‘i Standard Time.
